ABOUT
From a young age, Natal Prévost was passionate about percussion. One of the first words he learned, besides the traditional Papa and Maman, was Timbales. His musical interests are eclectic, and he passionate about composition and conducting.
He is regularly on the stage- since 2016 he has been part of the show La Vie est Musique, a performance intended for elementary school students, with which he has the opportunity to travel across Canada. He also played in 2023 at Angèle Dubeau's Fête de la Musique de Mont-Tremblant.
A highly regarded student at the Montreal Conservatory of Music, which he has been attending for eight years, he studies there with renowned musicians such as Nicolas Lapointe, Anne-Julie Caron, Corey Rae and Catherine Meunier. He also studies at the Joseph-François-Perrault school in the Arts-Études program.
He stood out for his participation in competitions such as the Concours Soloistes et Petits ensembles de Victoriaville, where he received a gold medal, the Festival-Concours de Musique de Sherbrooke, where he was awarded first prize for ages 12 to 16 in the Concerto category in 2023 and second prize for ages 12 to 16 in the Recital category in 2024, and the OMNI competition of the Orchester Métropolitain in 2023, where he won the Hydro-Québec Prize. In each of his performances, he is noted for his visible love of music and for his contagious energy.
